Hi,
I love your software, the only problem is that I can’t change the used font and directories in my language (hebrew) aren’t displayed properly.

The only little problem in my opinion is that it’s not updating the folder sizes while you are deleting the folders to make some space (which is the most common use of your program I suppose).
I think it’s worth trying to use the filesystemwatcher to update in realtime the folder structure without scanning everything again.
Otherwise you could allow to delete folders from your interface, but it’s a bit dangerous and you can expect some trials
Anyway, your program is very nice, useful and user friendly!

Great program, one thing I would like to see is a report creator, even just a textfile output would really be a plus.

I love it! A simple app that does what it claims and FOR FREE! It helped me find a folder loaded with junk. Cleared it and reclaimed a ton of space. I only wish I could print out the output or save it in a log. Thank you!

Thanks y’all. I read about this app in CPU mag. It was in the cover article: “Utilities of Mass Addiction.” Categorized under Disk & File Tools (which matches my server’s freeware folder for this type of utility to the letter). I can’t wait to try this - CPU is rarely off the mark on suggestions for cool apps. Review forthcoming.

How in the heck did you make this app so responsive? I have used “Disk Space Inspector” before, and it is excruciatingly slow in calculating values for folders. I love the attractive interface as well. You have done a fantastic job here. I almost forgot to mention that I am using this on WindowsXp Pro x64 as well. Gotta love it!

EricEpp,
Warren Ernst here, writer of the CPU Magazine article that directed you here. Thanks for the kind words about our little pub. I use FolderSize weekly on all sorts of test machines and client machines. It really is the best tool for this sort of job. Kudos to its author!

After trying several other programs I found on the web, I found this one. This does exactly what I was looking for, it’s great! You can’t beat it for cleaning up your hard drive and finding out where all your disk space went.
Thanks for for making your Folder Size program freely available.

Had to find big folders or files to archive as my C drive was getting full, and your program got it done quickly and easily. Inside of 5 min, I downloaded, unzipped, and found the two 13 GB folders of pictures that need to be swept into archive. Exactly what I was looking for. Well done!

[…] This won’t tell you about duplicates but it can tell you how many files of a particular type it has found as well as their disk space usage. It will scan both local and networked drives. Also has a filter list so you can also specify your own file extensions. Used it last week to find out what mp3 and video files staff have stored on the network. Results are visually displayed which is handy when you need to email the results to name and shame! Can be found here […]
